NOGA

NOGA is a multidisplinary professional organization in Northwest Ohio that offers educational opportunities to individuals involved in the care of older adults.

Meetings

Meetings are typically held the first Thursday of every month. However, please check the program description for the time and location as these may vary from month to month. Each meeting provides an initial 30 minutes for networking followed by a one hour presentation.

Upcoming NOGA Meetings for 2022:

SAVE THE DATE - Thursday, December 1 from 4:00 - 6:30 pm - NOGA's Annual Holiday Social Event at Maumee Bay Brewery at The Oliver House (27 Broadway Street, Toledo 43604). This event is FREE for NOGA members and just $10 for guests. There will be a cash bar and lots of hors d'oeuvres. We will hold a 50/50 raffle to raise money toward our John Vance Scholarship Fund. We hope you will join us and bring a guest!

November 3, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. for a special educational event, "How to Live a Better Life - Tips for Seniors" hosted by NOGA and Lourdes Lifelong Learning. This event will be FREE and open to the public at the Franciscan Center at Lourdes University. Join us for presentations on "Facing Change, Making Choices," "Estate Planning Basics," and "Financial Planning - Determining Quality of Life." We are encouraging our NOGA members to consider providing a Resource Table at this event for a fee of $75.00. The 8' tables will be set up in the Common Area of the Franciscan Center and during breaks participants will have the opportunity to visit and learn about your organization. Table fees will be donated to the John Vance Scholarship Fund. Click here to register and pay for your table. We look forward to your participation at this event.

October 6, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. (Different Start Time) until 10:00 a.m. for NOGA's Monthly Networking and Program Meeting In-Person at Skylight Financial Group (7150 Central Ave Suite 100, Toledo, OH 43617). Our program will be a "Toastmasters Demo" presented by Larry Tomczak.

September 1, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. for NOGA's Monthly Networking and Program Meeting In-Person at the Lakes of Monclova (6935 Monclova Rd, Maumee, OH 43537). Our program will be on "Prosthetic Rehabilitation Expectations in our Geriatric Population" presented by Chris Perry from Perry Prosthetics.

July 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00p.m. for NOGA's Annual Summer Social Event with Connextions. This social and networking event will be at Otterbein Sunset Village Clubhouse (9640 Sylvania-Metamora Road, Sylvania 43560).

June 2, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. for NOGA's Monthly Networking and Program Meeting In-Person at Maumee Point Assisted Living and Memory Care (1050 Medical Center Parkway, Maumee 43537). Our program will be "Empowering YOU to be YOU!" presented by McKenna Reitz, TEDx Speaker and Philanthropist.

May 5, 2022 for NOGA's Annual Celebration Event and Membership Meeting. We will meet at Gardens at St. Francis (9390 Wynn Road, Oregon, OH 43616) from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. We have special speakers arranged along with a presentation to this year's John Vance Scholarship recipient. Following the Celebration portion, NOGA will hold its annual membership meeting.

April 7 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. for NOGA's Monthly Networking and Program Meeting In-Person at the StoryPoint Senior Living in Waterville at 1470 Pray Boulevard, Waterville, OH 43566. Our program will be on "The ADA and Sensitivity Etiquette" presented by Angie Goodnight, from the Ability Center of Greater Toledo.

March 3, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. for NOGA's Monthly Networking and Program Meeting In-Person at the Otterbein Sunset Village Campus/Fieldstone Villas at 9640 Sylvania-Metamora Road, Sylvania, OH 43560. Our program will be on "Functional Wellness and Chronic Pain" presented by Dr. Ashley Schneider from UTMC Senior Behavioral Health.

February 3, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. for NOGA's Monthly Networking and Program Meeting In-Person at the Crescent at Oakleaf Village at 4230 N. Holland Sylvania Road, Toledo, OH 43623. Our program will be on "Powerful Tools for Caregivers” presented by Chris Cremean and Dr. Lynn Ritter.
